This is a micro-production wine from the tiny island of Pico in the Azores. It is grown in volcanic basalt at sea level, less than 50m from the Atlantic.
Lovely, dry, very pretty rose with subtle, complex aromas of strawberry/redcurrant and vague minerality. Flavours become more amplified on the palate where great acidity and some salty tang kick in. It is medium weight, dry, very even and firm, with stony/earthiness on the finish. The length is excellent
