Produced in Sardaigne, Italy, Moliterno al Tartufo is a moderately sharp, beautifully aged cheese with an intense truffle flavour. Unlike most truffle cheese, the truffle paste is infused after Moliterno has been aged so that it develops its own character before the truffles are injected. The truffles are only visible in the veins and the flavour permeates throughout the entire dough of this amazing Cheese! The result is irresistible flavour and texture. It has an ivory paste with truffle veins and the rind has the typical signs of the reed baskets.
FLAVOR: The taste of the Moliterno is exalted by the gustative notes of the truffle and flavours of spices and hazelnuts at the end of the mouth.
